Former Labour MP, Dennis Canavan, and Falkirk based author, Alan Bissett will head up a Yes Scotland public meeting this Monday, 29th of October in the Falkirk Old and St Moden’sParishChurch at 7.30pm.
The meeting organised by the pro-independence YesScotlandcampaign will be hosted by Falkirk West MSP, Michael Matheson and will also feature, from the SNP, Angus MacDonald MSP and Rob Kay from the Scottish Green Party and is open to all members of the public.
Said Michael Matheson,
“The campaign for a better more fair society is not just being fought by the SNP but by other political parties and those with no political affiliation at all.
Both Dennis and Alan are heavily involved in the campaign nationally and I am delighted they have been able to fit into their diaries an event in Falkirk where both are held in such high regard and where both have significant roots.
Angus MacDonald and Rob Kay also bring with them the perspectives of the SNP and Scottish Green Party and I am particularly pleased that the Greens recently voted overwhelmingly to join the cross party / non party, Yes Scotland.”
The meeting is being held in the Falkirk Old & St Moden’s Parish Church, High Street, Falkirk at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) Monday 29th October 2012, all welcome.
