Police investigating theft and assult on SNP activist

It has been confirmed that Central Scotland Police are investigating two complaints of theft of SNP property and a related complaint of assault on an SNP activist seeking to prevent one theft.

Details can not be released at this stage due to legal restrictions but the two complaints of theft relate to the removal of SNP posters by New labour activists.

The assault relates to the knocking down of an SNP activist by a car containing four Labour members caught removing posters from the Thornhilll Road area and failure to stop the car when it struck the SNP member.

The SNP member was bruised and shaken.
